The Commercial Legal Services section of the Finance Division is responsible for providing legal advice and support to the University and its subsidiary companies.

We are looking for a qualified Solicitor or equivalent (minimum 1 year PQE) supporting the University’s research, commercialisation and procurement activity (by taking the lead on reviewing and drafting contracts) but with a focus on the Business Development and sales team so knowledge and understanding of commercial contracts is essential.

The Solicitor candidate will also be asked to assist with the provision of advice and support for other ad-hoc matters, including regulatory matters, to ensure that the University is adequately protected. Experience and awareness of governance issues in higher education and charities would be useful but is not essential for this Solicitor role.
