The client is looking for applicants who are commercially aware with solid understanding of GDPR and other general regulatory requirements. They are keen to hear from those who boast previous experience working with all types of supplier agreements from straightforward contracts to more complex SLAs.

SUMMARY

  • Location: Liverpool
  • Salary: £35,000 - £45,000
  • Reports to: Head of Compliance
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience managing supplier contracts and liaising with the various stakeholders of the firm where necessary. Also, ideally previous experience managing the firm's database of standard agreements and letters such as client care letters and letters of engagement as well as other contractual precedents.

CONTRACTS MANAGER - AN EXCITING NEW ROLE

The successful applicant will occupy a new position within the firm and work with the recently appointed 'Head of Compliance'. The role constitutes a crucial position within the practice and will have an impact on all the departments and sectors in which the firm operates.

The responsibilities associated with the position are various, from keeping the firm's database of standard contracts and documentation up-to-date to managing the life-cycle of major supply agreements between the firm and its clients from end-to-end. For instance, applicants need to be able to demonstrate their ability to:

  • Assist teams and the compliance manager through tender processes whether checking that the relevant documentation complies with any regulatory rules and standards, or assisting the team in answering any questions on tender questionnaires;
  • Keeping a record using the firm's contract database of any major points in the contracts' life cycle, such as contract reviews, renewals or terminations;
  • establishing and nurturing relationships not only with key stakeholders at the firm, but also external clients where necessary;
  • be a trusted point of contact concerning any issues which may arise in relation to a contract's performance.

To be clear, this is not a legal advisory position. It is a position which requires a blend of skills from attention to detail, communication and the ability to liaise with various types of people including solicitors, Partners and their clients.

CAREER DEVELOPMENT

This is a role offering a fantastic route for career progression through the firm. Our client recognises the importance establishing a clear pathway for all professionals, whether they be fee-earning lawyers or involved in other internal areas such as support and compliance.
