A leading IT (NASDAQ) Big Data Company with over 50 global offices requires a commercial IT lawyer to oversee the Central Europe Region (Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Poland). You will work from the Cologne office focusing on a broad range of general commercial and IT/IP matters. Candidates must be German Qualified with thorough IT/commercial contract experience.
The Role
Based in the Cologne office you will focus on a wide range of EU and international corporate and transactional matters, including the establishment and maintenance of European and overseas subsidiaries, business divisions and international operations. As part of the role, you will support commercial and corporate work for the UK and lead the Central Europe Region where you'll closely work with the Contracts Specialists team based in Warsaw. You will advise on commercial matters, including apps initiatives, e-commerce, IP registration and licensing matters and real estate. You will assist the General Counsel on corporate transactions such as acquisitions or divestitures, corporate reorganisations, joint ventures and corporate governance.
The Candidate
Must be German qualified with 4-8 years of IT/IP experience from an International law firm combined with in-house experience from a leading Business Information provider. Must have significant experience in drafting agreements and counselling clients on corporate, commercial and international matters. Must have proven ability to manage a fast-paced workload and be self-motivated. Candidates must be fluent in German and English, both verbal and written, fluency in other European languages is advantageous.
