The Role


The firm are looking for an Employment Solicitor to join their Cambridge office.


You will handle all forms of contentious and non-contentious employment law issues for commercial and private clients and build and develop your own caseload with a commercial emphasis. You will be expected to be able to handle matters including but not limited to; Employment Tribunals, TUPE, Covenant Disputes, data protection, amongst other elements. These specialisms would make for a very interesting and varied caseload.
The successful candidate will be expected to meet fee earning and other KPI targets, to ensure the successful development of the firm in line with the current business plan, to handle all forms of employment law issues for commercial / private clients, and to develop their own case load with commercial emphasis. Further, they will be expected to maintain and improve client care and to participate in the marketing of the firm by actively participating in networking activities.


Requirements

  • You will have good communication skills.
  • You will be a Solicitor/Associate with experience in Employment matters (around 2 - 5 years PQE).
  • A good billings history is desired as well as experience of introducing new business.
  • You should be ambitious and wanting to progress.
  • You will be an organised individual who is keen to develop in your career.
