Sole In-house Counsel

I'm working with a company that is a leader in their field with a focus both in the UK and Europe to recruit its first In-house Lawyer based near Telford.

As Sole Counsel, the role holder will be operating in an autonomous and diverse role where they can quickly add value and make a significant contribution to a growing and evolving Group.

You will be accountable for a range of deliverables with a significant emphasis on negotiating and advising on the legal aspects of contracts with new/ existing Clients.

The scope of the role is predominantly within the UK but some interaction with their Western Europe businesses will be required to offer guidance and identify where specialist local input is required. You will also be the single point of contact regarding supplier and partner contracts and intellectual property matters.

The successful candidate will be a qualified solicitor with experience of working as an in-house lawyer. A background in commercial contracts work is essential, more importantly you must be able to demonstrate a track record of commerciality, approachability and the ability to deliver common sense legal solutions. This is a full time role but flexible working is on offer
