Compliance Officer

A Compliance Officer is sought to join the In-house legal team of a FTSE listed global business based in Birmingham.

Sitting within the European In-house legal team, the Compliance Officer will manage the compliance programme, to include; bribery and corruption, competition law, and economic sanctions. The role would suit a Compliance Officer, Paralegal, or Law graduate. The Compliance Officer will be responsible for;

• Driving engagement across the business with the compliance programme
• Managing compliance policies and processes
• Developing relationships with stakeholders across the business and managing third party relationships
• Managing the KYC process
• Managing the sanctions internal approval process
• Undertaking risk audits
• Supporting on the investigation of whistleblowing reports
• Supporting the European Legal team on a wide range of other legal & compliance tasks

This is a great opportunity for a law graduate or paralegal who isn't interested in following the route to qualification in law, but is interested in moving into compliance. It would also suit existing Compliance Officers! All candidates should demonstrate strong communication skills and be able to take their own initiative and work unsupervised, but we're particularly interested in speaking to those with knowledge of compliance.
