Due to the promotion of the current Director of Professional Conduct, ICAEW now wish to recruit a Solicitor or Barrister with experience of professional regulatory work, or an Accountant with significant forensic accounting/investigation experience, to lead the department.

The role is primarily to manage the work of the large team of case managers dealing with the oral hearings before tribunals, reviewing and monitoring the progress of all complaints and ensuring collaboration between the legal and investigatory teams.

The successful candidate will need demonstrable intellectual, leadership and management skills allied to excellent verbal and written communication ability. They will be expected to lead by example in demonstrating a commitment to delivering the highest professional, technical and ethical standards and drive a culture that encourages integrity, openness, honesty and mutual respect.
