A well regarded law firm in Devon is seeking the assistance of a Family (Childcare) Solicitor to assist on a Locum basis, commencing January 2019.
The role will be for an initial month, but likely to be extended thereafter on an ongoing basis so that candidates with ongoing availability are required.
The Position:-
* You will be dealing with a busy caseload of Legal Aid Childcare matters, including Care Proceedings and Children Act work.
* The work is Legal Aid funded and covers a broad range of issues to advise and assist on, including:-
- Acting for Respondents in applications for Care and Supervision orders, as well as Emergency Protection Orders
- Contact with Children in Care applications
- Representing extended Family members in Care Proceedings
* Applications for Residential/Community assessments
* Representing vulnerable clients and liaising with the Official Solicitor.
* Full time role but flexibility as to part time/remote working can be considered
The Candidate will be:-
* A Solicitor/Legal Executive with at least 4 years' PQE
* Able to work unsupervised
* Technically competent
* Ideally Children Panel membership accredited, but this is not essential
