My client is a Top Tier Legal 500 firm and now has an exciting opportunity for a costs recovery handler in their growing Liverpool office. This is a challenging and fulfilling role in which you will be handling your own caseload by auditing file instructions and looking to negotiate and agree costs claimed.
Responsibilities of Costs Recovery Handler to include:
- Identifying, reviewing and interpreting debt owed
- Negotiating and agreeing costs and proactively chase monies owed on enforcement files
- Litigating on files where costs disputed / agreed costs are not paid in a timely manner
- Identifying Cheques / Bacs payments that are received on a daily basis
- Liaising with other fee earning colleagues in order to review debt; identify solutions and suggest strategies to improve and maximise cash collection
- Providing technical cost advice to relevant fee earners/team leaders
The role of Costs Recovery Handler is suitable for someone with experience in relation to solicitors pre and post issued MOJ, predictive costs, fixed costs and disbursements disputes in both RTA and EL/PL costs.
