Locum Commercial Contracts Lawyer - Homeworking

Venn Group's specialist legal team are excited to be recruiting for a Locum Commercial Contracts & Procurement Lawyer to join a Large Local Authority in the Hertfordshire. This contract is offered ideally on a full time basis but part time candidates will also be considered. The contract will be for an initial period of 3 months period however, there is a strong likelihood of further extension beyond this.

The ideal candidate will be a Solicitor or Legal Executive with previous experience specialising in Commercial Contract & Procurement Law, ideally from a Local Authority background. Experienced Lawyers from a Private Practice background with the relevant experience will also be considered.

You will be handling a complex and varied caseload of interesting matters and typical duties will include:

• Advising external organisations such as smaller authorities and fire and rescue services on their commercial legal matters
• Mixture of contracts, procurement and company law matters
• Advising on schools and academy conversions
• Handling caseload of contracts for a wide variety of services, works and goods

A rate of £40-50 per hour dependant upon experience is offered. There is flexibility of homeworking for the preferred candidate.
