Our client is internationally recognised as having one of the premier offshore commercial litigation practices and in response to considerable activity, is looking to expand its team in Hong Kong by recruiting a bright and enthusiastic associate with 2-5 years post qualification experience.
England & Wales/Common Law qualified, applicants will have gained their experience to date with a reputable offshore/onshore practice (or be a barrister from leading commercial chambers) and be keen to become involved in a diverse range of Cayman Islands and British Virgin Islands contentious matters, including:
- shareholder and limited partnership disputes,
- unfair prejudice proceedings,
- winding up proceedings,
- derivative actions,
- fraud and asset tracing claims,
- ex-parte applications for urgent interim relief, and
- all other aspects of offshore contentious work.
The successful candidate will be involved in advising mainly Asian based clients, including on issues arising out of distressed investment vehicles, in particular hedge funds and private equity funds. Chinese language skills would be advantageous, but not essential, while it is envisaged the incumbent will possess both a robust skill set and strong BD/networking ability.
The role offers an exciting opportunity to an ambitious and hard-working litigation lawyer to join an established but growing team in an international law firm with first class reputation while also benefitting from a very attractive financial package and structured career progression & training.
To learn more about this and other opportunities we are working on across Asia and multiple offshore jurisdictions, please send your CV in confidence to info@agnewobrien.com or apply directly via this website.
