A leading Birmingham practice are looking to grow their Banking and Finance team with the recruitment of a new Banking and Finance Associate.
Responsibilities of your new role
This role would suit a frustrated Banking Solicitor who might be weighing up whether they want to remain in practice especially with the influx in in-house Banking recruitment. Your key duties as Banking and Finance Associate will include:
- Taking a leading role in maintaining relationships with local banks;
- Overseeing a mixed caseload from acquisition finance through to structured finance; and
- Supervising and developing more junior members of the team.
The firm recognises that a lot of practice lawyers in Banking will be frustrated with work/life balance and so they have adopted a culture within the team that allows for more flexibility.
If you are currently within a firm and you either don't want to be a partner there or can't see this being achievable in the mid-term, they are also happy to discuss your mid-term goals around promotions.
Required skills, experience and qualifications
To be successful in your application for this Banking role you will need to demonstrate:
- 3+ years of PQE;
- Solid transactional Banking lawyer background; and
- Excellent academics.
