The Role
We are seeking someone to join our Legal - Associate Counsel Contracts team at a Lawyer level. You will be providing legal advice and support in the drafting, review and negotiation of agreements as well as:
- Serving as the primary contact (within the department and with internal and external customers) for Agreements assigned to his/her group while working autonomously.
- Providing recommendations and alternative mitigating resolutions to departmental management and senior management.
- Upon request, make recommendations to Executive Management with regard to risks, strategies and recommendations.
- Providing training to other functional groups within PPD on contract requirements.
The Candidate
The successful Associate Counsel will be a Qualified lawyer with a minimum of two years’ prior negotiation experience in a legal context. They will also have:
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail with proven ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and effectively
- Flexible and able to reprioritise workload to meet changing project needs
- Excellent analytical and decision based thinking
- The capability to draft and negotiate routine contract provisions autonomously and complex contract provisions, with oversight
