Senior Commercial Property Solicitor.
 
An opportunity has come available for a commercial property solicitor to join one of Harrogate's leading law firms.
 
Due to the continuous growth of this Legal 500 law firm, they are seeking an experienced solicitor to join its social, hard working and successful commercial property department. 
 
The commercial team here (property, dispute resolution, employment and commercial) comprises of a tight knit team of ten, all sitting in the same space so they are able to offer support and encouragement to one another; so if a commercial property matter needs property litigation advice, the respective lawyers sit next to each other.
 
There is also the added benefit of having an ex partner of a national law firm as a senior consultant bringing a lot of experience and presence to the team, but in a way which assists and does not impede the opportunities for a senior person to lead and grow the team.
 
 
Your responsibilities: 

• Commercial property work at all levels – including commercial leases (landlord and tenant), freehold sales and purchase, development agreements, overages and conditional sales
• Some familiarity with small business sales would be helpful but not essential – i.e. small asset-based business sales where property is the major component
• You will be the face of commercial property, leading the team marketing efforts working closely with the firms marketing manager. 
• Committed time to business development 
• Provided leadership to the team

To be successful in this role: 

• You will be a qualified solicitor ideally no less than 5 years' PQE.
• Posses an appetite and the aptitude to provide leadership and have the confidence to be the face of the team. 
• Have the necessary experience to work independently in this field handling a wide range of commercial property matters
• Have sufficient experience to provide clear and visible leadership and a confident presence in the market.
• Be prepared to be involved in business development.
• Have experienced with working with a range of varied-value transaction both independently and part of a team
