STRUCTURE





PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

To assist with the controls and accuracy (including LTL, WCL, CCL, HLC, SCL and MTL and others as they are acquired), support Balance Sheet integrity via reconciliations, review and reporting. Assist in Budget, Forecast, Statutory Reporting and Year End audit close activities.


Key accountabilities

*Provide support to the Finance Team in maintaining and reconciling Group General Ledger Accounts, including Control Accounts, Accruals & Prepayments and Interco Recharge Accounts. Assist in the preparation of balance sheet reconciliation reports at period end.
*Reconciliation and processing of all group bank accounts and cash books, weekly and at period end.
*Assist with the maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register for the Group including reconciliation of Stock and other control accounts.
*Assist in preparation of the annual Budget as appropriate.
*Assist in preparation of periodic Forecasts as appropriate.
*Assist in preparing Year End audit file.
*Ad Hoc support to the finance team and business in general as required.
*Provide holiday and sickness cover for both accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
*Develop a thorough understanding of Business IT Systems and associated tasks and processes to enable business functions to work at an optimum level.




Areas of responsibility

*Provide direct support to the Finance Team to improve business controls and accuracy of Management Information.
*Assist with the maintenance of all interco, Loan, HP and other control accounts.
*Support Annual Audit of group entities and drafting of Statutory Accounts.
*Assist with the timely submission of all VAT, Intrastat and financial returns for all companies.
*Assist with the preparation of periodic cashflow reporting and supporting information.
*Deputise for members of the Finance Team during periods of absence

Qualifications and Experience

ACA / ACCA / CIMA part qualified (level one/two or equivalent)
Experience in Accountancy Practise
Experience and involvement in year end and audit process
