Legal Counsel

A world-renowned Travel Brand based in Weybridge, Surrey are looking for a junior Commercial Lawyer to join them in house as their new Legal Counsel. Offered on a full-time, permanent role, the successful Legal Counsel will be offered up to £70,000 per year.

The client is a worldwide travel company based in Weybridge, Surrey with international Headquarters in the US. They are looking for a Legal Counsel to join their team.

Responsibilities of your new role

Your primary duties will include:

• Managing all legal work arising out of the international business units;
• Drafting commercial agreements, including marketing, sales, sponsorship and a range of travel related agreements;
• Providing direction for travel law matters;
• Managing risk management issues across all business units and ensuring consistency/compliance with Corporate requirements;
• Working closely with key departments, including medical, finance and treasury, risk management, hotel ops, marine, legal and HR - both in local business units and at Corporate level (ship and shoreside).

Required qualifications, skills and experience

The firm are looking to hear from Legal Counsel applicants who demonstrate:

• UK qualified solicitor with around 2 years of PQE;
• Training gained in a law firm or an In-House business;
• Excellent skills in drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts;
• Strong commercial legal skills; and
• Consumer or retail experience and exposure to sales and marketing agreements is advantageous.

Salary

In return for hard work and expertise, the successful Legal Counsel will be offered £50,000 - £70,000 per annum.
