A vacancy has now arisen for an experienced solicitor to join the firm’s commercial property department, located in modern, purpose-built offices in Peterborough town centre. The Role
The local region sees a very varied mix of properties in general, including historic buildings, country houses, agricultural and church land, and the commercial property team is seen as an essential part of the firm’s overall business structure. The commercial property team is comprised of a team of specialist lawyers and clients include landlords and tenants, developers and landowners, commercial lenders and borrowers, pension funds and other financial institutions based in the UK and further afield. You will be will be advising regarding the acquisition and disposal of investment properties; negotiating with local authorities, landowners, or contractors on behalf of developers; drafting construction contracts; lease management; acting for commercial lenders; liaising with the corporate team in disposing of company-owned properties and pension fund investing.
The Candidate
The firm looks for applications from candidates who bring character and commitment to the firm, and have excellent client care skills, focusing on building strong, ongoing relationships with clients;
You will be an experienced lawyer with 3 – 5 years’ PQE;
Have excellent drafting skills;
Possess strong negotiation skills combined with a creative, problem-solving approach;
Be commercially astute.
