Litigation Lawyer sought for a six-week locum assignment, within a highly regarded practice in Bury St Edmunds.

Able to hit the ground running, the successful lawyer will manage a busy and varied caseload of litigated matters from instruction to resolution with minimal supervision and ensure a friendly and professional approach to clients at all times. Availability from the 1st of November for the duration of the assignment will be essential.

Responsibilities

  • Contractual disputes
  • Contentious probate 
  • Debt recovery
  • Property litigation
  • Professional negligence
  • Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act
  • Injunctive remedies
  • Negotiating settlements
  • Conducting own advocacy as required

The Candidate

  • Applications will be considered from qualified solicitors and legal executives with a minimum of three years’ PQE
  • Available from the 1st of November 2018 for a period of six weeks
  • Possesses outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Have the ability to manage your own workload with minimal supervision
  • Works well when under pressure to meet tight deadlines
  • Be personable with excellent client care skills and a detail orientated approach
