A US Company with a global remit are looking for a senior level Paralegal to join their Chiswick, London office immediately as they go through a period of change and restructure. While initially offered on a full-time, 6-month fixed term contract, there is a view for extension or permanent hire.
Responsibilities of your new role
Your primary duties as Paralegal will include:
- Contract Drafting;
- Drafting simple agreements and standard agreements e.g. renewals, amendments, terminations, NDAs, intercompany agreements, under Senior Lawyer supervision;
- Preparing and maintaining contract templates;
- External Counsel Management;
- Coordinating reviews, approvals and payment of external counsel bills and administer the Serengeti billing system;
- Tracking external counsel spending and providing regular information for accrual, forecast and budgeting purposes;
- Assisting with all legal department practice management initiatives aimed at achieving increased operational efficiency;
- Creating and maintaining a centralised list of all international ancillary legal services providers, such as notary, translation services, filing agents etc;
- Establishing and maintaining an international precedent bank for approved/agreed standard form Company Secretary documentation;
- Assisting with the maintenance of a centralised know-how bank for International Lawyers;
- Assisting with all Legal Department practice management initiatives, including continuous improvement of contracting and transaction management processes. Participating in departmental efficiency initiatives;
- Assisting with team budget preparation, budget management, setting team goals, and planning for future support needs;
- Opening, closing, archiving and retrieval of legal files in accordance with the appropriate procedures;
- Assisting lawyers with collating transactional documents including assisting with obtaining signatures from various signatories internationally.

- Document management and document tracking - use of compare right, version controls; and
- Solid drafting skills. Ability to draft board minutes and resolutions.
Salary
The successful Paralegal will be offered a salary equivalent to £45,000 - £55,000 per annum.
