Based in the heart of London, with a stellar reputation preceding it, firmly ingrained in the Top 30 Law Firms in the UK year on year, excellent growth and a firm strategy ahead. If you are an AML (Anti-Money Laundering) Solicitor/Lawyer with a background of risk and compliance and this sounds like the kind of law firm you would like to work for, we're currently looking for a candidate with your background on a 12 month, fixed-term contract.

What we need from you

Where excellent service meets exceptional results, we want the very best at what they do. Fully committed to the task at hand, you'll have the knowledge required to ensure that you deliver on the values the firm promises, along with delivering a personal touch where we required. We're looking for those with extensive experience with risk and compliance. Due to the role being a maternity leave cover, it's vital that you can bring this to the table. We need you to be fully versed on Money Laundering, how it works, what to look for but most importantly, how to act upon it and ensure you have a hand in stopping it. Backed up by a strong familiarity with the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 and Bribery Act 2010, you'll understand how these relate to the firm. We will need you to liaise with the Business Acceptance Unit and support them in relation to AML and provide in-depth Customer Due Diligence (CDD). You will be able to spot higher risk clients and approve where necessary. This will require acute attention to detail as you'll also be preparing disclosures and consent applications to the National Crime Agency. You'll need to be able to demonstrate knowledge on financial crime and sanctions along with producing analysis reports.

Who you are

You're a candidate who can read all the above and be able to provide this as if it's almost second nature. You'll be able to explain even the most difficult of terms in simpler ways to those who may not quite understand it, therefore, strong communication and an ability to empathise is certainly required. You can draft policies and procedures within strict deadlines and can cope with such pressures that almost demand results in a timely fashion. You can rely on a team to back you up but also are humble enough to ask for assistance when it's required.

What we can provide in return

You'll be working for a firm that is extremely well-known on the international stage and all available resources will be made available to you to ensure you can carry out your duties to the high standards set previously. You will also be working for a firm that really does stand out for its culture, clichés aside, you'll be given all the support you need in a warm, welcoming atmosphere. They can also potentially provide flexible working, ensuring that you are rightly able to maintain your life outside the office. This will all be backed up with a wide range of benefits and a truly rewarding, above-market salary.

Next steps

If this sounds like where you want to be, it would certainly be in your best interests to apply immediately. This really is an excellent opportunity for those who wish to grasp it.
