A leading FTSE 250 organisation with offices throughout the UK is seeking an Employment focused Legal Counsel to join their In House Legal Department. Based in their Central London office, this excellent opportunity is offered on a full-time, permanent basis.
Responsibilities of your new role
As Legal Counsel you will be providing day-to-day legal advice on a broad range of employment matters to the HR team and Senior Management as well as managing employment threats and outside counsel relationships. Other key duties in this In-House role will include:
- Dealing with employment tribunals;
- Managing unfair dismissal claims;
- Renewing the company's employment policies and procedures; and
- Advising on TUPE, providing in-house support concerning Trade Union matters, redundancies and indemnities
Required skills, qualifications and experience
The business look to speak with Legal Counsel applicants who demonstrate
- 1-5 years of PQE;
- Training and experience in a top legal 500 firm;
- Wealth of Employment law knowledge; and
- Some in house experience is ideal, but not essential.
