Employment Associate

A top London firm with a Chambers Band 2 recognised Employment team are looking for an Employment Associate to join them for a full-time, permanent role.

Responsibilities of your new role

Joining a team highly reputable in the Employment sector, this role involves a busy and varied workload advising all types of employers but with an emphasis on financial services sector clients. Your primary duties as Employment Associate will include:

• Working on complex discrimination, whistle blowing and breach of contract litigation (Employment Tribunal and High Court);
• Managing non-contentious projects including restructures (redundancy and TUPE) in the UK and across multiple jurisdictions;
• General employment advisory work by telephone and email;
• Involvement with marketing and network activities including presenting and assisting in client seminars; and
• Contributing to non-fee-earning activity as appropriate e.g. knowledge sharing, training etc.

Required skills, experience and qualifications

The firm is keen to hear from Employment Associates with 1-6 years of PQE who can demonstrate:

• Track record in a well-recognised employment practice acting for sophisticated clients (including in-house legal teams);
• Independent thinker with a focus on generating commercial solutions to problems on behalf of clients;
• Confident communicator with an ability to develop relationships with clients and influence at all levels; and
• Enthusiastic team player with a flexible approach.
