An exciting opportunity has arisen in Birmingham to join a reputable national law firm as their Lead Intelligence Analyst. If you are looking for a career that offers plenty of opportunities, support and rewards, this could be for you.

Our client, a national law firm, are searching for an experienced Intelligence Analyst to join their counter fraud team in Birmingham city centre. The firm covers a broad range of specialisms across the commercial, public, health and insurance sectors, representing an impressive collection of high calibre clients. As a Lead Intelligence Analyst with this firm, your responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Conducting detailed OSINT desktop investigations, intelligence enquiries and analysis for the counter fraud team alongside preparing reports for clients
  • Responding to and fully analysing client enquiries
  • Ensuring the consistency and delivery of an exceptional quality service to all counter fraud clients at all times including out of hours if required
  • Interrogate and draw intelligence from files to build up, populate and keep up to date the claims and counter fraud database
  • Support and assist the team partner and lawyers by monitoring GDPR complaint DPA requests of other insurers

You should be able to demonstrate a variety of technical skills. For example:

  • Understanding all aspects of fraud and possessing the investigation skills required to address it
  • Full working knowledge of OSINT
  • IFIG SPOC trained or equivalent

Previous experience of dealing with claims in an SRA regulated environment would be beneficial but it is not necessary.

As a Lead Intelligence Analyst, you would be expected to have the following:

  • At least 3 years intelligence, investigation or security experience in insurance, business fraud or criminal investigation
  • A degree is preferred but not essential if appropriate industry experience can be demonstrated
  • An aptitude for analysis and statistics and the ability to interpret data with a view of presenting it in lines with areas of business crime
