A fantastic UK Law Firm is looking to hire a new Credit Controller to join on an initial 6 Month FTC. Responsibilities will include contacting with clients concerning unpaid invoices often leading to a client query. ensuring invoices that remain unpaid after 21 days are included in the Debt Collection process and chase accordingly, ensuring all relevant information relating to unpaid bills is properly recorded on the ARCS system and, where relevant, fed back to Partners and Fee-Earning staff, make and receive calls and deal with all correspondence from clients, Partners and staff relating to problems, with unpaid invoices, ensuring that responsibility and timeframes are established for query resolution and that these are monitored and followed up, taking the lead to ensure monthly statements are prepared and sent to selected clients who are not subject to the firms standard debt collection procedures, making sure Partner instructions to write off unpaid debt is carried out and the appropriate forms are completed, authorised and then posted, maintain a spreadsheet showing a record of write offs. The successful candidate will liaise closely with Partners, Fee-Earners, Secretaries and key clients regarding unpaid bills and queries. Candidates must be educated at A-Level or will have completed the AAT, three years’ experience working within a law firm as a Credit Controller or a professional services environment is essential, in addition to having strong Microsoft Office skills, excellent written, oral and communication skills. Standard hours are 9.30am – 5.30pm.
