A fantastic opportunity has arisen at a top 100 law firm that is guaranteed to start a Training Contract in 2019.

The initial paralegal role and the training contract will be IP focussed and cover a wide variety of transactions and contentious issues including:

  • Patents
  • Marketing and advertising law
  • Social media law

Technology and Internet Law

  • Software-related contracts including research & development, licensing and distribution
  • Website terms and conditions and all contracts relating to websites
  • Domain names IT support, hosting, Cloud-related and outsourcing contracts

Data Protection and Freedom of Information

  • Privacy and data protection policies (including data encryption)
  • International transfers of data

Corporate Transactions

  • All aspects of IP and IT law on M&A transactions
  • Negotiation of IP & IT warranties and indemnities
  •  IP & IT due diligence and reports
  • Advising upon IP agreements necessary to secure ownership of IP in M&A transactions

Applications are welcome from paralegals who can demonstrate a stellar academic record. For example this will include A's at A Level, a minimum of a 2.1 and Commendation or Distinction in the LPC.

For this role the LPC is essential.

Relevant electives in Commercial Law and IP would be a bonus as would any work experience in IP, GDPR or a related field.

At least 6 months paralegal experience in any field is also required. From a city firm would be great, but also any experience gained in-house would be a benefit. Experience in litigation, corporate, commercial contracts, real estate / property and GDPR would be relevant.

This is anticipated to be a popular role with a high number of applications, so please do ensure you attach your full CV with grades and dates and that relevant experience is clear.  Good luck!
