Financial Accountant

Our client is a central London law firm with around 100 staff. They work in five main areas of business, including; Corporate, Real Estate and Private Client.

They are looking to recruit a Financial Accountant to join their Finance team. The role is a hybrid of Management and Partnership accounting. Exposure to audit will be a distinct advantage. Applicants should have previous, relevant industry experience, in a  law firm.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of statutory accounts
• Preparing Consolidation workings
• Managing relationship with auditors
• Responsible for Partnership tax computation and supporting schedules
• Bank reporting, including, preparing quarterly management accounts
• Review management accounts and finalise
• Supporting schedules and reconciliations, including reviewing and preparation.
• Manage Fee earner targets and bonuses
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Assist with current accounts and tax reserves
• Distribution of current account statements to Partners and meetings where necessary
• Partners' services, including drawings calculation and payroll input
• Review Partners' capital, new and repayments
• Liaise with Partners, in relation to tax payments
• Prepare PAYE settlement arrangement

Candidate Profile

• Income tax experience essential; corporate tax experience useful
• ACA or ACCA qualified
• Strong verbal and written skills
