Debt Recovery Legal Assistant

Debt Recovery Paralegal required to join a local authority based in West London for an initial 3 month period.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-placed local authority within a specialist area of law that is increasingly popular in the public sector.

The Debt Recovery Paralegal will be dealing with debt recovery relating to service charge arrears. This position will be well suited to a Paralegal who enjoys fast-paced work, and likes to get really involved with cases and make a difference. It will involve the following responsibilities;

• Issuing court proceedings
• Applying for default judgement
• Applying for a charging order
• Attending County Court hearings and preliminary hearings before the Upper Tier Property Tribunal

Due to the nature of the work involved, it is essential that the successful Paralegal has knowledge and experience of dealing with debt recovery and service charge arrears.

The office is easy to reach, situated in a location which is easily accessible by London Underground or Overground.
