Successful firm in Cambridgeshire seeks a Practice Risk and Compliance Lawyer on a full time basis.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Practice Risk and Compliance Lawyer to join our client’s Peterborough office. The successful candidate will be identifying and assisting in managing all the strategic, operational and regulatory risks that may arise within the practice.

Responsibilities
• Ensuring compliance with all professional rules and regulations including anti-money laundering, anti-bribery and the avoidance of mortgage fraud
• Risk assessments and compliance inductions
• Ensuring risk management policy and risk register are current and robust
• Producing annual reports
• Liaising with senior management to highlight risks
• Preparing agendas and minutes for the standards committee
• Maintaining central registers
• Risk management training
• Ensuring security and confidentiality of data
• Identifying operational risks
• Supervision of staff

The Candidate
• Applications are encouraged from experienced practice risk and compliance solicitors and legal executives
• Solid knowledge of all aspects of practice risk and compliance work is expected
• Possess solid communication skills, both written and verbal
• Be highly organised and able to work on your own initiative
