New In-House Role - Leverage Finance/Lending Lawyer - Global Financial Institution - 2-5PQE

My Client is a Global Financial institution looking to hire a Leverage Finance/Lending Lawyer on a permanent basis.  

The role is a mix of transactional work and advising the business more broadly in connection with the execution of the strategic priorities of the Legal function and the firm.

Key responsibilities include - 

• Providing legal advice to lending business teams focusing on investment grade and sub investment grade lending, leveraged finance, infrastructure financing and project finance.
• Supporting loan operations and middle office, agency and security agency.
• Reviewing and negotiating a full range of transaction documentation.
• Managing legal risks on transactions, advising on legal and commercial risks and solutions and implications for the bank 
• Providing subject matter expertise for regulatory and change projects.
• Managing and complying with legal governance and controls.
• Formulating and delivering training to business and/or Legal colleagues on legal, regulatory and market developments.
• Producing and updating standard form documents, templates, practice notes and guidelines.
• Fostering collaboration with other legal teams to ensure sharing of know-how and efficient legal coverage.

A strong candidate should have at least 2 years post qualification experience from a top city law firm.
