An internationally leading investment bank are looking to bring on a Data Protection and Privacy Lawyer to join their international Data Protection and Privacy Counsel in Canary Wharf for six months.
About the role
The Data Protection and Privacy Lawyer will assist in providing legal advice across the investment bank's various business units on Privacy and Data Protection Laws, including information security and cybersecurity laws.
The jurisdictional coverage will include EMEA regions, focusing on the following areas:
- Privacy/data protection
- Data location/data transfers/data disclosure
- Monitoring
- Requests for data
- Information and IT security
- Awareness and training
About you
The successful Data Protection and Privacy Lawyer will have extensive and recent experience in dealing with Privacy and Data Protection Laws, including information security and cybersecurity laws with respect to the financial services industry. They will have excellent drafting skills, be able to function effectively within a matrixed environment and have the ability to respond to the needs of a demanding client base.
