Equities focussed Lawyer- Vice President Level, Leading Global Financial Institution
Our Client:
This leading Wall St headquartered bank is a market leader in Institutional Securities, Wealth Management and Investment Management. They are currently looking to hire a Vice President level lawyer into a team which provides internal client advisory coverage to the Institutional Equity Division in Asia Pacific.
The Team:
The team consists of 3 lawyers based in Hong Kong and there is additional support from a markets coverage perspective from lawyers based in regions such as Singapore, Korea, India and Australia. The role reports into the team head based in Hong Kong.
Responsibilities:
- Providing regulatory advice for all aspects of cash equity, sales and trading business
- Reviewing legal issues associated with membership of exchanges and other trading venues
- Responding to regulatory inquiries and initiatives, market structure reform and policy work
Skills & Qualifications:
- General finance training from a reputable international law firm or in-house counsel at a leading financial institution
- 4+ years PQE*
- HK or UK qualified (other common law jurisdictions considered) *
- Strong technical knowledge of Equity Sales & Trading and documentation and regulation required
