Clinical Negligence Solicitor - The Liverpool office of this highly respected firm is looking to hire an ambitious clinical negligence solicitor to join its renowned clinical negligence practice. The firm is looking to attract candidates with quite a broad range of experience from 0 - 3 PQE.

THE ROLE AT A GLANCE

• Salary: £29,000 - £32,000
• Reports to: Partner / Head of Clinical Negligence
• Previous Experience: Candidates should be able to demonstrate a solid background as a clinical negligence solicitor, preferably from a claimant firm, though applications from those with defendant experience are also encouraged.

THE WORK

The team receives instructions from a range of clients who have suffered, sometimes severely, as a result of medical negligence or mal practice. Such claims may involve cosmetic injuries, negligence during surgery resulting in further patient complications and/or misdiagnosis or late diagnosis.

The firm also works on very serious high value instances of negligence, which may result in life-long injuries or brain damage such as cerebral palsy or spina bifida.

REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROLE

As a junior clinical negligence solicitor within the team, you will be required to assist the other more experienced members of the team especially in relation to the more serious, high level multi track work. Nevertheless, you will also be afforded the opportunity to develop your own caseload, where you will have more autonomy over your work.

The firm also invests a great deal of time in business development and seminars. Your role as a clinical negligence solicitor within the team is certainly not a one dimensional fee-earning one and you will be encouraged to get involved with business development and brand initiatives where possible.

In short, this is a highly dynamic law firm, where all fee earners are encouraged to develop as well-rounded solicitors and not merely effective billers.
