Corporate/W&I Underwriter, NQ-3 years PQE

Our client is a newly established Managing General Agency (MGA) backed by one of the largest insurance brokers in the world. They looking for a junior corporate M&A lawyer to join their team as a W&I (Warranty and Indemnity) underwriter. No previous underwriting experience is required as you will be fully trained.

Your responsibilities would include:

• Analysing deal documentation, due diligence materials and processes employed in M&A transactions, to assess the insurability of each risk.
• Drafting and negotiating bespoke policy wordings to contractually document the risks.
• Maintaining and developing relationships with various distribution channels including brokers, law firms, investment banks, accountants, private equity funds and corporates on the acquisition trail or going through a disposal process.
• Attending client meetings, seminars and marketing events and representing the business at such events.
