Legal Counsel

A leading global name in the pharmaceutical sector is seeking a Legal Counsel to join the team at their UK office in Cambridge. This innovative organisation plays a key role in helping businesses in the medical and pharmaceutical sectors achieve their objectives and make major improvements to healthcare.

The Role

As part of a team of lawyers split between Cambridge and the United States, the Legal Counsel will work in partnership with dedicated Business Development contacts and take the lead on negotiating and drafting high value commercial contracts for the provision of the business' services.

The Legal Counsel will help to trouble-shoot throughout the negotiating and bidding process, working with different areas of the business to ensure each project reaches a successful conclusion within tight timelines. In addition to taking the lead on commercial contracts the Legal Counsel will

- Provide general legal advice to the business on commercial matters;

- Assess legal risk and offer mitigation solutions to senior management;

- Assist with customer disputes; and

- Provide training to other functional groups within the business on contract requirements

The Person

You will be a UK qualified commercial lawyer with 2 years' PQE. You will have demonstrable commercial contracts experience and be comfortable managing relationships with key internal stakeholders. Pharmaceutical/CRO experience would be beneficial although not critical.
