This is an outstanding opportunity for a banking paralegal to join a leading full service practice in Leeds. Our client has over 150 years' experience within the market and have offices across the country, providing full service legal advice to a range of clients from public companies to local authorities and covering banking, corporate/commercial, litigation, housing, employment and property work.

In this role, you will be joining a highly regarded banking and capital markets team who have an excellent reputation in their field. A supportive environment is pivotal to their success and so you must be a team player with strong, proven organisational skills. We are looking for candidates with good academics, someone who is adaptable, enthusiastic and looking to take on responsibility.

You will be assisting the Partner in Leeds, along with an experienced solicitor, as well as supporting the team in London. You will manage your own caseload under supervision and you will be supervised on specific tasks which will include drafting and negotiating banking documents such as board minutes, certificates whilst also providing progress reports to the partner. In addition you will be supporting the current team of paralegals when required whilst consistently following the departments procedures and policies in place to ensure effective case support.

The ideal candidate for this role will have experience within a similar commercial legal environment with strong legal research sills and the ability to communicate across a range of levels from clients, to partners to peers. Given the wide range of communication involved in the role, you should be comfortable and be able to evidence a history of strong customer/client service. A Law degree (or GDL) is desired and those who have or are working towards the LPC will have an advantage, however, this is not essential and the client is willing to consider those from other academic backgrounds such as the CILEx route should you have the required experience and market knowledge.
