IT Legal Counsel - Dublin (German speaker)

A global IT software business with a well-established and award-winning legal team requires a Legal Counsel (3yrs PQE) to focus on a broad range of commercial IT and Privacy matters. Candidates must be bilingual with the ability to draft IT/commercial contracts in both English and German.

The Role
Based in the Dublin office you will focus on a wide range of technology transactions and data privacy matters. You will gain excellent exposure to high-quality legal technology, Cloud, big data, analytics and new emerging technologies such as the Internet of Things. As part of your role, you will assist the Head of Privacy on DP projects in coordination with their EU and US privacy team to ensure compliance with the GDPR and other applicable privacy laws. The main aspect of your position is to support senior regional lawyers with customer deals and work closely with stakeholders across different parts of the business as well as with legal colleagues, senior management, customers and vendors.

The Candidate
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English with at least 3 yrs PQE. You will ideally have commercial IT legal experience within hardware, software and SaaS. Additional experience in GDPR projects and exposure to international trade i. export compliance would be advantageous. Must have proven ability to manage a fast-paced workload and be self-motivated.
