One of the top 30 largest law firms in the world boasting more Legal 500 Tier 1 rankings than any other firm are currently looking to expand their Corporate Insurance team with the addition of a Corporate Lawyer.
Responsibilities of your new role
As Corporate Lawyer you will advise life insurers, general insurers, and reinsurers on a broad range of matters including:
- M&A
- Reorganisations
- Part VII transfers, both domestic and cross-border
- Reinsurance
- Regulatory matters
- Other risk transfer mechanisms
- With-profits issues
- Solvency II
In addition to the above, the successful Corporate Insurance Lawyer will have the opportunity to work on commercial matters such as product development and distribution arrangements. The team also advises retail banks, private banks, intermediaries, brokers and asset managers on a broad range of transactional matters.
Your new team
The Corporate Insurance team is an integral part of the genuinely full-service insurance practice which boasts over 50 lawyers. The client base includes each of the top 10 UK general insurers and 6 of the top 10 UK life insurers. Their insurance offering has numerous legal directory rankings. The Corporate Insurance team currently comprises 10 dedicated lawyers.
The team has had significant success winning instructions on complex strategic transactions (including reorganisations prompted by Brexit). They most regularly compete for work against the magic and silver circle firms.

Candidate requirements
The firm seeks a Corporate Lawyer who demonstrates:
- 3+ years of PQE gained in a City firm or a large regional practice
- Technical excellence and commercial awareness
- Enthusiasm about business development
- Team player with a strong client focussed approach
- Strong academic background
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
