Talented residential property lawyer sought for a head of a department position at a well-established law practice in Oxford.
This is a rare opportunity to join a multi-office law firm, which has earned a strong reputation for the provision of excellent client care, while maintaining a professional and lively working culture. The successful candidate will take charge of the residential department, ensuring the operation process runs smoothly, while building and developing relationships with other departments and professionals.
Responsibilities
• Managing own caseload
• Reporting to the Head of Property and the board
• Attending and contributing to board meetings
• Acting as the SRO for the Conveyancing Quality Scheme
• Overseeing team use and membership of the Land Registry portal
• Team mentoring
• Attending internal and external meetings
• Implementing a business development plan for the team
• Undertaking additional duties as required
The Candidate
• Applications are welcomed from solicitors with a minimum of five years’ PQE and licensed conveyancers, legal executives and paralegals with a minimum of five years’ experience in residential property matters
• Excellent client care skills and strong leadership strengths are essential
• Ideally, you will be highly personable with effective relationship building abilities
• Technically able and commercially aware
• Able to organise your workload whilst ensuring high levels of accuracy
