We have just been instructed on a new RTA Portal Paralegal role at a reputable and award winning law firm who promote a strong work life balance in central Newcastle. The firm are well known for being a friendly and supportive team and also have some excellent benefits and bonus structure that is very hard to beat! This is a fantastic role for those who may have worked as a personal injury legal assistant and are now looking to progress to an RTA Portal Paralegal.
The Role
Essentially the role is the handling of RTA Personal Injury Claims in the RTA Portal, and you'd be the first point of contact for clients.
You'd be checking and reviewing the initial information, identifying which files to be rejected and inputting the valid claims on the RTA portal.
Along with keeping the files updated, you'd be liaising with medical experts, insurers, solicitors and the courts.
You'd also be preparing files for court proceedings and for assessment of damages, along with valuing claims and completing schedules of special damages.
The Person
Of course, it would be desirable if you had previously worked within Personal Injury claims, specifically RTA.
However, the firm have advised that this would be a perfect opportunity for someone who is wanting to step up into a paralegal role from a legal assistant role.
An LLB or LPC would be advantageous.
