Legal Executive
We are working to hire a Legal executive with the experience to run cases from beginning to end with minimal supervision. There will be significant initial training and regular discussions on case strategy with senior lawyers but the legal executive will manage the day-to-day running of their cases.
Main Responsibilities:
- Drafting letters of claims, particulars of claims, and court forms.
- Correspondence with clients and defendants
- Management of litigation
- Ensuring court deadlines are complied with
- Preparing disclosure and trial bundles
- Instructing and liaising with counsel and experts
- Preparing costs budgets, draft orders and case summaries
The ideal candidate for the Legal Executive role should have the following:
- Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a solicitor or CILEX qualified legal executive
- Have a good understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules
- Have excellent written and oral communication skills
- Have excellent drafting skills
- Be motivated and capable of working independently
We do not expect candidates to have specific knowledge relating to all our practice areas but we would like experience in at least one of these areas and are especially interested in candidates with experience in financial mis-selling claims. We expect candidates to be willing to learn and be interested in being involved in new and rapidly developing areas of the law.
This role has a competitive base salary of £25-37.5k p.a. with an annual bonus based on performance.
