Child Care Lawyer with panel membership sought within established practice in London.

Providing advice and representation to a varied client base including parents and children, the successful lawyer will manage a complex and varied caseload in all aspects of child care and ensure high levels of client care and service at all times. Current members of the Law Society’s Children Panel will be essential.

Responsibilities

  • Special guardianship orders
  • Adoption including international matters
  • Applications for supervision and care orders
  • Wardship
  • Liaising with guardians, adoption agencies and local authorities
  • Conducting own advocacy as required
  • Maintaining up to date knowledge of developments within your specialist field
  • Participating in business development initiatives for the department and practice as a whole

The Candidate

  • Applications will be considered from solicitors and legal executives from NQ plus with solid experience in child care
  • Memberships of the Law Society’s Children Panel will be essential
  • Possesses excellent technical and organisational skills with the ability to manage a full caseload with minimal supervision
  • A following of clients including guardians would be highly advantageous
  • Candidates will demonstrate strong advocacy and client care skills
  • Has a desire to participate in professional development
