A global financial services business seeks a Junior Lawyer to provide general legal and company secretarial services to the UK Head of Legal and his well-established team. You will provide legal advice and support by reviewing commercial contracts with a focus on supplier and client agreements whilst assisting with Data Protection issues. This role may require you to work on disputes and Company Secretariat matters.
You will assist the UK Head of Legal on compliance matters relating to of all UK Group companies with company secretarial requirements where you'll maintain the statutory registers. This position will expose you to regulatory work where you must be compliant at all times with all relevant regulations and legislation applicable to the role.
Candidates must have completed their LPC and ideally be a UK Qualified solicitor or barrister however, senior Paralegals or iLex qualified lawyers may be considered on the basis he/she has valid experience of drafting, advising on and negotiating a range of commercial contracts. Exposure to Company law / Corporate Governance is advantageous. Must be self-motivated with a practical and commercial approach to the role and have excellent verbal / written communication skills. This role is fulltime and permanently based in Croydon.
