Reporting into the General Counsel, the commercial lawyer will be working in an agile environment which utilises bespoke, in-house developed technology to drive business forward. Despite being a financial services company this business is anything but rigid and this role will reflect that mentality.

With a focus on commercial legal matters, you'll be dealing with anything that might arise during the ordinary scope and course of business ranging from drafting and vetting commercial agreements, IP matters, managing and instructing external counsel and providing general legal advice. Assisting you will be a host of digital and technological tools to streamline and automate processes. With a host of different projects at any time, you'll be given variety and different types of work keeping you engaged and strategically involved.

In addition to possessing strong academic results you'll have training and experience at a top tier firm or in-house. You'll need to be a skilled communicator and capable of interacting with the business at all levels. Strong technical ability, excellent drafting and negotiation skills in a variety of (corporate and) commercial contracts is essential. Prior in-house experience is not necessary.
