Litigation lawyer required for a shared legal service based in East Anglia to join a friendly and well-regarded team for a period of 3 months initially however there is certainly scope for this to be a longer term placement due to the busy caseloads of the team as a whole.

As a Litigation Lawyer within the service, you will be overseeing work across all three local authorities and you will be required to undertake a varied caseload of litigation matters.

The successful candidate will ideally have experience in both criminal and civil litigation matters, however we would be interested to hear from candidates that specialise in either.

As a Litigation Lawyer, you will handle a diverse caseload which will include:

  • Prosecutions, licensing and ASBO's in the criminal element
  • Housing law matters to include possession proceedings, disrepair, JR and homelessness applications
  • Attending County court and Magistrates court on such matters in Cambridge once a week

This council offers excellent flexible working opportunities and a real variety of work across the shared service.

The client is keen to hear from applicants who have previous local government experience, while those from a private practice background with sound knowledge of government processes will be considered.

We encourage interested applicants to apply immediately to be considered for short listing. Alternatively should you require further information or wish to discuss your suitability before applying please contact Chelsey Newsom in our Manchester office for a confidential discussion.
