Property Litigation Solicitor

The successful Property team of a Liverpool firm are looking for a Property Litigation Solicitor or fee earning Paralegal to join them for a full-time, permanent role.

Responsibilities of your new role

As Property Litigation Solicitor your primary duties will include:

• Running a caseload of work including rent arrears claims, possession actions and Landlord and Tenant Act applications
• Client liaison in writing and over the telephone
• Communicating in writing and by telephone with solicitors, courts and all other interested parties
• Drafting documents
• Business development
• Instructing Counsel and experts
• Preparation of reports to clients
• Negotiating with the other side

The Property Litigation Fee Earner will assist the senior solicitors and partners with their work load including preparing court bundles, general court diary management, obtaining information from the Land Registry/conducting investigations and reviewing files, deeds and legal research.

Candidate Requirements

The firm seek a Property Litigation Solicitor or fee earning Paralegal who demonstrates:

• Knowledge, experience and interest in the property sector and property law (essential)
• At least a 6-month training seat in property and a commercial or property litigation seat
• Strong IT skills
• Previous experience of managing a caseload
• Excellent communication/interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritise and plan work appropriately so that deadlines are met
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent attention to detail

Salary

The successful Property Litigation Solicitor will be offered £30,000 - £45,000 per annum.
