This very well-established law firm is seeking a Real Estate Paralegal to join their team in Exeter. They are one of the UKs top 50 law firms and are rapidly growing; they provide a range of professional legal services to leading clients and are well known for their modern and progressive approach. They are currently in need of two Real Estate Paralegals to join their Real Estate Finance Security team in Exeter.

This team is made up of 25 lawyers nationally that act on the behalf of Registered providers of affordable housing, as well as lenders, funders, institutional investors and security trustees, on all aspects of property due diligence work is required to secure various finance structures and to support large scale property transactions.

Your new role

You will play a vital role in the property aspects of substantial secured financial transactions, more specifically dealing with extensive property due diligence, preparing property conditions precedents and drafting the certificate of tile. You will assist the team and liaise with clients, assisting with the property of aspects of large scale capital markets issues and large-scale loan financing. If joining at an experienced level, you will also train and develop junior staff as part of your role.

What you'll need to succeed

You will have an excellent academic record and will have previous experience as a paralegal, or will be part-qualified CILEx, with experience in residential property, property development or security work in private practice. Ideally, you will have experience of working with housing clients, as this will be beneficial to your role. You will also have first rate communication skills, commercial awareness and initiative to work alone as well as be a team player.
