Our client has developed one of Australia's foremost Banking & Finance teams that sees them regularly called upon to advise leading financial institutions, investment banks, corporations and private equity funds – both in Australia and abroad - on complex and often ground breaking transactions.
In response to consistent demand across all of it national offices, applications are ideally sought from domestic & returning Australian and New Zealand lawyers as well as talented UK lawyers looking to make a long-term commitment to the Australian market, to be based in their Sydney or Melbourne offices. The work on offer is diverse and compelling and includes:
- syndicated and bilateral corporate finance and acquisition finance;
- syndicated and bilateral asset finance and asset-based lending including receivables financing and inventory financing;
- trade and commodity finance;
- project & real estate finance
- debt portfolio acquisitions; and
- debt restructuring and distressed transactions.
Candidates will have ideally practiced to date with top tier firm and possess a strong academic and technical background. With an ability to take on increasing responsibility you will have a desire to grow both as a lawyer and leader within the team, in addition to a willingness to take a prominent role with regards business development & marketing initiatives. A strong communicator both internally & externally, it is felt that the successful applicants will have the ability to foster and develop strong client/colleague relationships.
