A brilliant opportunity has arisen based in Birmingham City Centre for a marketing executive to join a leading, top tier law firm on a permanent, full-time basis. Based in state of the art offices in Birmingham this multi-site law firm covers a full range of legal services across the UK. 
 
The team is dynamic and has a collaborative national marketing team which comprises of 25 members split between Birmingham and Manchester. Your role in this marketing executive position based in Birmingham will be to support the corporate communications team in delivering the groups external, internal and investor communications activity. 
 
Some of your key duties in this role will include but will not be limited to:

• Take briefs, research and draft press releases, internal news stories, blog posts, thought leadership articles, news agenda commentary. Maximise their impact in the local, national, trade and legal press
• Developing and drafting submissions in line with the Group's awards strategy both within our target media and for wider industry award opportunities
• Maintain and develop good relationships with key target media liaising with them on a regular basis both in person and via the telephone and social media
• Negotiate placement of press releases, thought leadership features and comment pieces with key journalists and hold regular and proactive discussions with them to identify ongoing news opportunities
• In the event of any potential or breaking crises or issues, assist the HoCC and CCM as directed. This may include press liaison, drafting holding statements, internal communication messaging and managing social media
• Support the Group internal communications strategy including feeding into internal publications, video and audio messages, content for internal conferences and messaging for team briefings
• Assist the internal communications executive (ICE) when directed by the CCM with research and edit internal publications and Group-wide communications
• Help maintain the news page 
• Work with the Digital Marketing team to monitor and support the Group's social media activity, including blogs, LinkedIn and Twitter
• Attend meetings with key internal stakeholders and unit/group heads to offer guidance and support and gather information that can be used for proactive PR and media relations activity

In order to be considered for this Legal Marketing Executive position based in Birmingham, you must have previous legal marketing experience, have excellent communication skills and have a confident approach to deal with firm employee's of all levels, have a firm understanding of social media channels and digital platforms.
