One of the largest employers in the UK are looking for a Legal Counsel to join their in-house team in Birmingham for a full-time, permanent role.
Responsibilities of your new role
Working alongside the Senior Lawyer who is also Head of Employee Relations, you will enjoy a mix of contentious and non-contentious work. Your core responsibilities as Legal Counsel will include:
- Taking full control of tribunal claims
- Providing up to date employment advice to all divisions of the Company
- Reviewing and drafting HR policies, Handbooks and Contracts of Employment
- Maintaining a precedent bank
- Working closely with the wider legal team building strong relationships
- Delivering updates on significant Employment law changes
- Providing training to managers
The business is acquisitive so there will be TUPE matters to handle too.
Candidate requirements
The business hopes to hear from In-House Counsel applicants who demonstrate:
- 2-4 years of PQE
- Experience gained in-house or with a reputable firm
- Strong contentious and non-contentious Employment law experience
