In-house Litigation Lawyer (Energy) UAE

Our client is an international energy investment business which is operating a major upstream oil and gas company in the UAE. The business headquarters are located in UAE with international offices strategically located in the UK and major cities across the GCC. Due to continued expansion, the General Counsel is growing his team with the hire of a top litigation Lawyer who ideally has a specific focus on Energy.

The Role
You will provide legal advice to the oil and gas upstream operations, exploration, transportation and commercial business activity. You will report directly to the General Counsel and focus on negotiating complex disputes and litigation matters relating to commercial transactions and sharehold litigation. You will review, advise and liaise with various parties including vendors, suppliers, partners, customers and governmental authorities.

The Candidate
Must be western educated with training from a litigation team of a leading international law firm and have at least 4+ years PQE. Candidates must be Common Law qualified (UK, US, Irish or Australian/NZ) and ideally, have litigation experience of oil and gas or have an excellent career profile with the desire to work in the industry. Candidates with MEAN legal experience is advantageous however lawyers with litigation experience gained from a US and/or UK law firm applications will be considered. Must be a pragmatic lawyer who can problem solve by thinking outside the box with commercial solutions.
